Staff member David Blair planting a tree

On 25 March 2009 Trees for Cities joined with Nottingham Trent University to plant two large Beech trees at the university's Clifton campus. This planting celebrates research being carried out by a post-graduate student in NTU's psychology department, investigating the psychological benefits of trees.

In particular we will be investigating links between urban greenery and health and wellbeing, learning, community cohesion, and reduction of criminal behaviour.

Then in December 2009 we provided 300 whips for students to plant at Nottingham Trent's Brackenhurst campus as part of the Tree O'Clock world record bid.

Trees for Cities relies on donations from individuals in order to deliver projects like the Nottingham Trent University Project. Please consider supporting our project work by making a donation or buying a community gift
