Hillingdon Court Park Woodland

Trees for Cities joined the BBC Breathing Places ‘Tree O’Clock' world record attempt to plant the most number of trees in an hour on 5 December at a community planting event in Hillingdon Court Park. The rain stopped and the sun shone as 112 volunteers and local residents teamed up and planted 2000 trees in the hour.

As well as the world record attempt participants were able to join bird box making workshops, watch woodland survival skill demonstrations, enjoy arts and craft activities, free face painting and funky samba drumming!

Over 211 people attended the event on the day and helped to plant a new woodland area which will provide homes for wildlife and a pleasurable spot for visitors for years to come.
