Urban Forest and Operations Manager
Reporting to: Projects Director
Location: London, UK
Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 (based on qualifications and experience)
Our London and regional urban forest programme is a core focus for the charity. In London we now plant up to 25,000 trees each year through a programme of urban tree planting projects including; street trees, orchards, woodland creations, parks, open green spaces, estates and school projects.
We are looking for an experienced, highly driven and skilled individual to join the team to deliver and drive forward the urban forest programme. The successful candidate will hold a nationally recognised qualification in urban forestry or arboriculture and have experience of project managing delivery and management of urban tree planting projects.
The sort of person we’re looking for.
- A highly driven and ambitious individual who has experience of delivering and managing tree planting projects within the urban environment and can drive forward the development and delivery of Trees for Cities’ urban forest programme
- Innovative approaches to deliver and manage urban forest projects to realise social, environmental and economic potential of sustainable urban forest management
- Excellent attention to detail capable of managing an efficient programme of works producing a high quality end product
- A strong team member with the ability to communicate effectively within the team and across the charity
