BBC Radio 4 Appeal
Sir Michael Palin, long standing friend of Trees for Cities, will be delivering our BBC Radio 4 Appeal to support our work this planting season.
Tune in to BBC Radio 4 from Sunday 30th November or donate online today to plant hope this winter.
I've lived in cities all my life and I know what the difference it makes if you have a bit of greenery around. It's well known that exposure to nature of any kind in any way is good for our mental and physical wellbeing and that’s why I’m encouraging people to support Trees for Cities.
Sir Michael Palin
Double your impact
It's planting season right now which means every gift you make will help us get trees in the ground where they're needed most.
Plus, the first £40,000 of donations will be matched thanks to two generous funders.
That means for every £1 you give, Trees for Cities receives £2 - that's double the trees.
Growing an urban oasis
St George's Estate sits in the heart of Tower Hamlets, the most densely populated borough in London.
The only green space for the thousands of people and families living here was unused and unloved. Until Trees for Cities took action in 2013.
A decade later and the space is a haven for people and nature.
Everything about it is good.
Lindsay, resident
Yet millions in towns and cities still lack access to trees and nature.
Tune in to our BBC Radio 4 Appeal from Sunday 30th November to find out how the simple act of planting trees can change lives and how you can help.
Thank you
We'd like to thank all our supporters for helping to grow greener, leafier towns and cities.
We're also grateful to RBC Europe and an anonymous supporter for match funding our BBC Radio 4 Appeal. With their support, every £1 you give is worth £2 to us, at no extra cost to you. That's double the trees.
