New Trees at Sidley Recreation Ground in Bexhill

Trees for Cities are excited to be working with The Queen's Green Canopy, Rother District Council, and Green Recovery Challenge Fund to plant new trees at the Sidley Recreation Ground in Bexhill.

Sidley Recreation Ground Planting Day - Wednesday 15th February

Thank you to everyone who planted with us at Sidley Recreation Ground on Wednesday 15th February 2023!

Together we dug deep and planted 38 trees in the park! With over 100 volunteers, this was a truly remarkable display of community action and togetherness and we loved being a part of it!

This will help to combat pollution from surrounding roads, create new habitat for wildlife and increase the canopy cover to reduce the Urban Heat Island effect. We couldn't have done it without you, thank you!

"We had an amazing time the kids really enjoyed the food entertainment tree planting and face painting the steel band were fabulous. We had the best time definitely would recommend it to everyone of all ages" - Zara, volunteer

We loved seeing such a range of ages and abilities and had so much fun catching up with old friends and making new ones too. Thanks to you all for your energy and efforts!
