A wealth of evidence shows that pupils who spend more time playing and learning in high-quality greenspaces can experience improved health and well-being, a closer connection with nature and more environmentally sustainable attitudes.
By joining in with our 'Trees for Schools: Healthier Playgrounds for All!' campaign and making a donation, you can help deliver our award-winning programme which transforms urban schools across the UK into vibrant healthy green oases for young people everywhere.
£20,000
Target for the campaign
If we raise £20,000 in total, this will be matched to £40,000, enabling us to plant more trees and green school grounds, allowing children to experience tree and woodland-based play and learning.
At Trees for Cities, we believe that everything we do must be seen through the lens of future generations. We deliver vital holistic greening programmes in urban schools across the UK that promote environmentally sustainable behaviour, support lifelong connections with trees and nature, and improve educational experiences.
Working in partnership with children and schools, we create Healthy Playgrounds; urban playgrounds are reimagined and redesigned; with the introduction of trees, forest gardens, food-growing, outside classrooms, woodland play areas, mini-forests and wildlife habitats.
Over 24,000 pupils were engaged in our school programmes this year. But there is still more to do.
The generosity we have received during our past match-giving campaigns has already helped thousands of people up and down the country, and together, we can still achieve so much more. Remember that ALL donations will be DOUBLED for one week from 20th April this Earth Month.

What is the Big Give?
