New Trees for Bishop Cuthbert
Trees for Cities is working with Hartlepool Borough Council to plant new trees in Bishop Cuthbert Green Space.
Come and plant a tree with us!
We are pleased to be holding a community tree planting day at Bishop Cuthbert on Saturday, 31st January 2026.
Thank you for your interest in joining our event, but we have now reached capacity for this event.
Accessibility is very important to us, and we are working to make sure our events can welcome everyone. If you have any specific needs or questions around accessibility at this event, please contact leah.johnstone@treesforcities.org.
Why we're planting
Trees for Cities will be planting trees to introduce new species, provide more seasonal colour, improve biodiversity and increase climate resilience. We have prepared plans which you can view below.
Hartlepool currently has one of the lowest Local Authority Tree Equity scores in the country. Through the Tree Equity for Hartlepool project, we're working to tackle Hartlepool's low tree canopy cover and begin a journey towards a more healthy, sustainable and equitable urban forest for Hartlepool.
We hope these trees will be a welcome improvement to the space and provide lasting benefits to the environment and the local community. We hope you can join us in shaping the design and planting the trees in winter.
