Who is collecting your data? 

This survey is managed by  Trees for Cities, in partnership with Hartlepool Borough Council, Thirteen Group, The Woodland Trust, Trees on Tees Community Forest, and  Treeconomics

What personal data are we collecting? 

We may collect the following personal data: 

  • Your email address (if you choose to enter the prize draw or stay informed) 
  • Your age bracket 
  • Your postcode 

Why are we collecting the personal data outlined above? 

Your age bracket and postcode helps us understand which areas of Hartlepool are represented in the survey responses. This supports our goal of ensuring inclusive community engagement across the town. We will not use your age bracket or postcode to identify you personally. 

Who will we share your data with? 

Your postcode may be shared with our project partners listed above, but only for the purpose of analysing geographic trends in responses and planning community engagement or planting activities. All partners are required to handle your data securely and in accordance with data protection laws. 

We will never sell your data or use it for any unrelated purpose. 

How will your data be stored and protected? 

Your data will be stored securely and only accessible to authorised staff and project partners. We will retain your data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined above. 

Your rights 

You have the right to: 

  • Access the data we hold about you 
  • Request correction or deletion of your data 
  • Object to or restrict processing 
  • Withdraw your consent at any time (where applicable)
