New Trees for Jubilee Park

Trees for Cities is pleased to work with Ealing Council and the local community to plant new trees in Jubilee Park. The trees will provide added visual interest, shade, and biodiversity to the area and contribute to tree canopy cover goals in the London Borough of Ealing.

What types of trees are we planting here?

The new trees will be what we call 'standard trees' which are approximately 7-12 years old and will be 2-3 meters tall when they are planted. We will also be installing protective stakes and caging around the trees.

The design is arranged with some individual standard trees and some copses (groups of one larger and three smaller standard trees) which should mimic and complement the existing woodland planting on the site.

As the trees grow, they will provide visual interest and amenity value to the park throughout the year as well as add to the canopy cover of the Borough of Ealing, contributing to the Council’s aim to increase canopy cover to 25% by 2030, as set out in the council’s Climate and Ecological Emergency Strategy and Biodiversity Action Plan.
