Our 2024-25 Planting Impact

We love this time of year - the trees are putting on their autumn display and it's nearly tree planting season - but it’s also when we get to reflect on our final impact numbers from our last planting season!
Championing Equal Access To Nature
Across 2024-25, we worked in a personal record of 47 urban areas across the UK, planting 80,533 trees. As always, Tree Equity was the driving force at the heart of these projects as we work to get more urban nature in areas that need it most.

Creating Greener, Healthier Schools
We also built 35 new school projects, helping over 30,000 pupils connect to nature by transforming their playgrounds, and supporting a greener curriculum.

Empowering Communities Through Trees For Streets
Residents across the UK have done their bit to help green their communities by donating towards the cost of a new street or park tree in their local area. Our tree sponsorship scheme enables council tree budgets to stretch even further - resulting in more trees for healthier neighbourhoods.

Looking Ahead
Even as we celebrate our last season's planting numbers, it's still full steam ahead for our 2025-26 season. We're excited to get stuck in with the projects we have in store this year, from tackling tree equity with partners in Hartlepool, to transforming more school playgrounds in Glasgow, to bringing even more green spaces to inner city estates.
We couldn't do all this without your support, so join us in our mission to green our towns and cities by signing up to our monthly newsletter, following us on socials @treesforcities, and finding out other ways to get involved.
