Want to learn more about our Edible Playgrounds programme? Take a look at our new film and read our impact report.

You may recall July’s Tree Times had a feature on how proud we are of having delivered our 100th Edible Playground over the past decade. Over the summer we’ve been building on that pride, beavering away on a couple of pieces of content that showcase what the Edible Playgrounds programme is all about.

Firstly, our new promotional film. Take a watch and listen to the feedback from some of the children and teachers who benefit from their Edible Playground. It’s heart-warming to hear one kid say: “I love this job” as he trims some of the veg, and another say: “It makes me feel that I can do anything.” And we know we’re onto something good when one of the headteachers says: “we’ve noticed a big impact on the children to do with their mental health, their wellbeing.”

Check out the film here, and tell us what you think via our social channels @TreesforCities.

The second item we’re excited to share with you is our ‘100 Edible Playgrounds: The Journey So Far’ booklet. It’s packed full of stats and facts, plus quotes from staff at our historic projects. It really helps show how far we’ve come over the past decade.
